I've asked for over a year for you to update the PandaPi OS. I'm not a programmer, and not going to go through the machinations of using the toolchain to attempt to compile it myself. I'm simply not able to do so.
If you are not going to update the PandaPi OS for the PandaPi boards, I'm moving on to another platform. This is ridiculous that PandaPi is still based on Raspbian.
Will it work with an Orange Pi? Whats the issue as it is? Asking because I was considering buying a Pandapi for an industrial 3d printer we’ve built and don’t have a control board to operate the printer and everything currently industrial is proprietary.
If we can find a low cost control for this printer it could lead to a partnership with whichever company we chose. Right now were setting it up with with a Duet and daughter board for 10 drivers and we actually need 12 plus were running a number of other customized features. There isnt a lot of alternatives out there especially where they could function with servos, ball screws, and full t-stat controlled enclosure.
If what you’re saying is that raspbian inhibits the features of the board or printer then we’d probably pass. I was disappointed they have direct chat on here and nobody was available to reply. Sounds like these guys may be too small and lack the management we need for a supplier.
