Hello, I was wondering If the TMC5160 (in this case Bigtreetech TMC5160 V1.2) is compatible with the Pandapi 2.8 and if features like SPI, UART or to have an encoder installed can be enabled. Some boards like the SKR V1.3 PRO Board support all of this with no additional wiring but other board need some. What is with this board?
Will it just work fine with a bit of playing arround?
Will it try to kill the Panda?
I think It's no problem to work with Standalone mode on panda, but not sure if the UART can work, there is no spi on panda board. in standalone mode you can configure the input microstep like A4988,but not sure if the current can be configured in standalone mode.
Little update, after some research I found out that the tmc5160 has a mode called "Step & Direction Driver" or "Simple Step & Direction Driver". I think its just Standalone mode with some extras. For example, you can connect an encoder to it and dont need SPI or UART.
